I am a historian who spends a lot of time in dance spaces and in nature. Through movement I am learning as much about being in touch, creating relations, listening to surroundings, shifting boundaries – in short about society and transformation – as through good reading. I realize how it is inspiring my thinking and writing.
Crossing Borders. Contact Improvisation in Switzerland 1980 to the present
My current book project dives into the world of Contact Improvisation exploring it as scopes for physicality as well as for art – in a privileged yet challenged society in the centre of Europe at the turn of the millenium.
